Jack Petchey Award

CEECC is proud to be a part of the Jack Petchey foundation Achievement Awards scheme which rewards 11-25 year olds in the cricket club for good performances, great efforts and commitment.

January 2017

Aryan Sharma

Aryan has made the step up into hard ball cricket this season. During the winter period he has attended nets regularly and has trained beyond what would have been expected for a player of his age. Because of this he has made great improvement in his all-round skill set.

Aryan has asked that his award be used to the cost of coaching courses for Club members.

February 2017

Dinura Jayasinghe

Dinura stepped up from youth cricket into adult cricket this year. He attended Senior nets regularly in an effort to get himself involved in the adult section. His hard work and strong attitude proved to be beneficial as he has been selected to represent the Club in the adult teams this season.

Dinura has asked that his award be used to the cost of coaching courses for Club members.

March 2017

Will Bettley

Will has showed a real appetite for hard work this season. He has also matured beyond his age and has shown a positive attitude to his game sand the Club in general. Will’s hard work has borne rewards. He has scored 86 and 92 in two Peter Coe cup matches, Essex’s primary competition for his age group.

Will has asked that his award be used to go towards costs of Innovative training equipment for 1st XI

April 2017

Matt Cook

Matt is a new arrival at Colchester & East Essex this year. He introduced himself to the Club in winter nets to join his age group in the Youth section. Matt quickly fitted in with the U15 group and showed he had talent and ability. However, with a great attitude Matt has been selected to play for the U16s and also for the Saturday adult 3rd XI.

Matt has asked that his award go toward the cost of a defibrillator.

May 2017

Akshay Lonkar

Akshay has worked hard through the winter and beyond what would have been expected of a young player of his age. He has developed in to a fine all-rounder excelling with both bat and ball. His achievements have not gone unnoticed and he has been selected to play for the U16 team to play in the premier Essex County competition.

Akshay has asked that his award go toward the cost of 3rd XI Innovative training equipment

June 2017

Arzim Farook

Arzim is another young man who has worked hard through the winter at his game. He has shown a high level of enthusiasm and has improved his skills considerably. He has developed in to a top quality bowler with specialist skills and his hard work has borne success with excellent results.

Arzim has asked that his award go toward the cost of coaching courses for Club members.
