The 2023 season is upon us, and we are gearing up across many fronts. We have signed an exciting young New Zealander, Adithya Ashok, who recently participated in the New Zealand vs England opening tour match…and dismissed Joe Root! He is one to watch this season - he is a great addition to the 1st XI as well as being available for coaching. Welcome, Adi.

Cricket fixtures this season are managed by Andy Mayes, and are available on the website, Pitchero, and Play cricket. We are enrolled in the NEYCC U11, U12, U13, U14, U15 and the ECB U12, U14, U16 and U19 competitions along with running All Stars and Dynamos. As always, we are reliant on parent volunteers to manage each age group - training is available for aspiring…and reluctant coaches. We recognise how busy people are, but supporting the children does provide great opportunities to meet new people and give back to the kids and the community.

We have a busy season of events planned to raise very necessary club funds. Currently, our focus is on raising money to repair our nets - a big and expensive job. Please do come along and support our events as and when they are advertised.

We have three new committees - Community, Commercial and Operations. If any of you would like to know more details on these, please do contact me as we are seeking more people to help in these important activities. We have done our best to carve up the roles so we can encourage more volunteers and allow everyone to play their part in CEECC’s future.

Our Commercial Committee has revamped our sponsorship packages which are now displayed on our website. We would like to thank all of our current and new sponsors for their continued support. However, there are a number of packages still available and securing further sponsorship is critical for our ambitious plans. The Commercial Committee is working hard towards meeting our ESG goals and to help our sponsors meet their own corporate deliverables. Importantly, we are offering the chance to become team sponsors to ensure we can provide help and support to drive team success. Again, please revert with any ideas here or with any company/parent interest.

Our revamped website (using Pitchero technology) has been a long time in the making. To encourage everyone to use it more regularly, please provide us with your articles and photos, and we will do our best to keep it as current and interesting as possible. We also welcome your feedback and suggestions.
